Specialty Insulation NW derived from a company founded in 1969. In 2009, we recognized a pattern in the marketplace of unreliable work. We came to the understanding that customers in the Seattle area were demanding a frontrunner for customer service and quality work that they could rely on. Energized by the realization, we began to reinvent ourselves to embrace a unique brand that the Seattle area could recognize for reliable insulation.

My YELP rating for Specialty Insulation is 5 stars, and it says "Woohoo!
As Good As It Gets!" and that is EXACTLY what Specialty Insulation is!

I had just purchased a 1933 farm house that was infested with disgusting 80 year old insulation in the attic, crawl space, guest house, etc. It was one of the first (and most important) parts of my remodel and demolition project to get done, because electrical, framing, etc. could not start until all the old, mice infested insulation was removed.

The first company I had out sent a sales rep that was cocky, measured my square footage wrong- by 500 square feet- and gave me a bid that was ridiculously high. I went with the second company that came out with a reasonable bid and promises that they could be out the next day and clear the attic and crawl space, "no problem". So the next day, the cleaning crew showed up at 2:00 (not the 9:00 as promised), ate lunch in my yard, looked at the crawl space and said it was too small to get access to, and then when they finally went up to the attic they said it was too hot up there and they would have to come back in 3 days. WHAT?!!

So that is when I searched again and luckily came across Jimmy and Specialty Insulation. Jimmy came out the same day to look at my house and instantly I knew I was finally dealing with a competent professional. He agreed to match the previous company's quote, and assured me that both the attic and crawl space would be taken care of. The very next day, Jimmy & his crew were at my house and within the first hour, the crawl space that was "impossible" to access was cleaned, disinfected and done. Several hours later the attic was spotless- and on a very hot day! And did I mention this was on a Saturday?!!

I cannot say enough about this company- Jimmy and his crew were so incredibly professional, honest, competent, hard working and friendly. I will now be using Jimmy and Specialty Insulation to reinstall all my insulation and help me get on a program to keep the rodents out of my attic and crawl space! No need to research, review or look any further - just go with this company and you will be glad you did!

I recently purchased a house in Vancouver WA. I had my home inspected prior to buying it, no indication of any pest problems. However, I had recently heard scratching noises from inside the house. A good friend referred Jimmie so I called him. He came that same weekend and did a complete inspection. He found a pest problem underneath my house.

Thank goodness for this professional young man. He cleaned everything and put in new screens to seal off the crawl space. Although I'm disheartened that the original inspector I hired didn't do a thorough job, I'm glad to have met Jimmie and will use him for all future Pest Control.

I will definitely refer him to friends and family.

I live in Redmond. We've used a pest control service for 12 years, and for 12 years, the pest control service said everything was fine. But last month, as a result of rodent damage, we had to have our crawl space cleaned, sealed, and the insulation replaced. It turns out the pest control service wasn't very good at its job.

We used Jimmy Williams at Specialty Insulation. He's been wonderful to deal with, and his company did a great job with minimal disruption to our household. He'did the inspection and identified potential rodent access points for no charge. He made an aggressive bid for the work and delivered on everything. He also does great service after the install - he's been back to our house twice since the work was done to make sure the crawlspace is still sealed.

We had Specialty Insulation out to do a project at our home in Woodinville in November 2011. I received bids from a number of companies. The bid from Specialty Insulation was right in the mix but Jimmy seemed much more competent and certainly knew his product. While inspecting the attic space he took several photos of places where he had concerns (improper bathroom venting, large gaps in the soffits etc.). These concerns were not even pointed out by the others that we had bid on this project. They presented me with evidence in which to make an informed decision. The work was performed quickly, professionally and they left my home as clean as when they arrived. We did have them address the other items that were of concern and I highly recommend this company and I would certainly use them again.

This company is top notch. They helped me with attic insulation, rodent proofing and a moisture barrier for my home.
