The Convent of the Meeting of the Lord is a small community of Orthodox Christian nuns dedicated to a life of prayer. Located in a rural setting in Stanwood, WA, their physical shop is considered by many of their customers to be "a hidden treasure."

The smell of 100% pure beeswax is the first thing that one encounters, along with the visual delight of walking into a room filled with many colorful and unique gifts, both locally made and from around the world. Quality, great selection and good prices make this a truly wonderful shopping experience.

The main feature of their shop is their hand-poured 100% pure beeswax candles, which are of the highest quality. They are not only beautiful and sweet smelling, but are also good for you and for the environment because beeswax candles clean the air as they burn! They sell almost any size you can think of--tealights, votives, pillars, dinner tapers, specialty shapes and even "anytime candles".

Their shop is open every Saturday from 10-3 and on weekdays by appointment. From Thanksgiving until Christmas they will be open extended hours: Thursday and Friday from 11-6 and Saturday from 9-4. Groups are also welcome to come on a weekday by appointment and have the shop to themselves----it's a fun outing!

When you visit for the first time feel free to ask for the candle tour--you'll learn a lot and even get to pour your own tealight to take home as a gift from the Sisters.
