The mission of Lenz Enterprises composting operation is to preserve and enhance the environment by providing cost effective composting of farm residuals, land clearing debris, yard debris, and food waste from commercial, residential, and municipal customers. Lenz Enterprises strives to create products and services that beneficially utilize recycled materials and provide alternatives to landfilling. Rather than burning or burying, Lenz promotes the reintroduction of organic materials to the earth, leading to healthier soils and improved water quality.

• Lenz Enterprises compost facility meets all mandated local, state and federal operating requirements, some of which include time and temperature for providing pathogen control and stability of finished compost products.

• Lenz Enterprises utilizes an Aerated Static Pile (ASP) method of composting and a control system developed by Engineered Compost Systems (ECS). The ASP method uses aeration trenches in the concrete beneath the compost pile, connected to electric blowers that can either force air into the compost pile (positive aeration) or draw air through the pile (negative aeration). This process allows temperature control and maintenance during the initial phase of composting for efficient destruction of pathogens and rapid stabilization of finished product.
