Josie's Learning Center offers many unique opportunities for families in our community.
Childcare: Starting from just 4 weeks old, children spend their time at Josie's learning through play and other activities that stimulate their desire to learn. Children are encouraged and are given many opportunities to engage with their environment as they learn about the world around them.
We have multiple outdoor play areas for the children including a toddler sized playground, outdoor covered bike area, and brand new play set for the preschool and older aged children. Staff and children alike love getting to explore the outdoors and go outside multiple times a day.

Preschool: Our preschool classroom teachers work closely with the local Kindergarten teachers to ensure that we are doing all that we can to help the children seamlessly enter Kindergarten. We use different curriculum including Handwriting Without Tears, as well as intentionally placed activities that help children expand on their social, emotional, fine and large motor skills so that they can be prepared for their Kindergarten classroom environment.

Montessori Preschool: Here at Josie's we are also fortunate to have a Montessori Preschool in our "Little House." Using the ideas and teachings of Maria Montessori, our Montessori classroom teaches the children about the world around them by allowing them to explore and expand upon their learning.
Montessori runs Monday through Friday from 9:00 until 3:30 with the option for wrap around childcare and 2, 3, or 5 day schedules.

ECEAP: Josie's is proud to be one of the sites in Snohomish County that offers our ECEAP program for low-income and at risk families. Enrollment is based on space availability and family income levels. In 2015 we expanded our ECEAP program to include 14 more spaces to further serve families in our community.
ECEAP has an AM and PM class, with transportation provided to class if needed.

School Age: We offer before and after school childcare with transportation to and from Cedarhome Elementary, Stanwood Elementary and Twin City Elementary. During non-school days, school aged children who spend the day at Josie's engage in numerous activities including cooking, crafting, and walking field trips. Our school age summer program allows children to go on 2 field trips a week to various places such as the waterslides, local parks, local pools, the movie theater, reptile zoo, and other fun attractions.
